Over the past decade, I’ve been quietly photographing Thai transgender women across Bangkok — in alleyways, stairwells, and quiet corners. These portraits, taken in natural light and marked by a moody, filmic sensibility, are built on trust, presence, and respect.
This upcoming photobook brings together around 100 of these color and black & white images in a 24×32 cm vertical hardcover format, with 170–180 pages. The book includes a contextual essay by Hossein Farmani — founder of the Lucie Awards and House of Lucie — along with thoughtful texts by photographer Jeremy Horner and author Joe Cummings.
Shot without pretense or posing, these photographs aim to honor each woman on her own terms — seen, not staged.
The book is now in crowdfunding.
