Chinese Opera

Portrait series of Chinese Opera players. Images were taken backstage during performances in Chinatown Bangkok during 2016 - 2019. As Younger generation of Thais seems to lose interest in this old art form, these performers keep the old tradition alive by performing mythical stories in Mandarin Chinese at Chinese Temples to celebrate Chinese holidays. This photo series is a tribute to these wonderful artists.
